Dyson Airmuscle Animal Upright Vacuum Review

Every year to year and a half we find ourselves out looking at new vacuum cleaners.  We have tried many different varieties and styles.  Some that do everything but cook dinner and wash dishes.  The problem is that they either stop performing as well as they did when we first purchased them, stop performing at all, or we cannot find the needed replacement parts such as filters, belts, and so forth.

I vowed that we would make one more vacuum purchase this year.  Fingers crossed and determined, my husband and I left the house on a mission.  To find the perfect vacuum cleaner that would meet our needs and one that will not find itself on the lonely corner of our driveway waiting for someone to drive by and pick it up.

We drove to many stores and looked at many vacuums.  We quickly found ourselves confused and frustrated.  Filters or no filters? How easy is it to find or replace the filters? We soon gave up and started driving home.  Passing Lowes my husband looked at me and asked "Want to take one more shot?"  I shrugged and nodded, so in to the parking lot we turned.

Again, hand-in-hand we trudged dutifully to the vacuum isle.  As we rounded the corner, we saw all of the different vacuums they had to offer.  My first thought was "Here we go again, can't we just let the dog continue to clean up the floor?"  My husband stopped suddenly in front of a beast of a vacuum.  I tried to keep walking, but forgot he had my hand and found myself come to a sudden jerked stop.  "No way! Look at that price!" I said.  "But, it will last us for many more years then any of the others we have bought." my husband says.  So, we stood there staring at this vacuum and reading and researching for what seemed like hours.

After bantering back and forth on the pros and cons we finally both decided we had found the one we have been searching for.  Cue the singing choir and angelic lights.........

What did we decide on?  The Dyson Airmuscle Animal Upright Vacuum.

Dyson DC28 - full-size and powerful bagless upright vacuum for homes with pets. Airmuscle™ technology precisely adjusts the cleaner head to clean every floor type thoroughly. Mini turbine head removes dirt and pet hair from carpets, upholstery and tight spaces. Motorized brush bar for carpets - switches off for hard floors. Lifetime washable HEPA filter traps microscopic allergens.

Yes!  Washable filters!  No more time spent on deciding on the right sized filter or belts!

We all suffer from allergies but my 17 year old suffers the most and is frequently using an inhaler.  I was really glad to read that the Dyson is certified asthma & allergy friendly™ by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America.

We brought it home and I was amazed how quick and easy it was to set up.  Within five minutes I was using our new beast.

What's in the box?

  • Operating manual
  • Quick start guide
  • Product registration card
  • 5 year warranty

Plus the following accessories...

Stair tool - A Dyson-designed tool for removing dust and dirt from stairs and stair carpets.

Combination accessory tool - Debris nozzle converts to a brush tool for dusting.

Mini turbine head - Removes pet hair and dirt from confined spaces such as upholstery, stairs, and the car. Quickly attaches to the hose or wand.

Flat Out™ head - Articulates for effective pick-up, and is especially handy for cleaning under low furniture and household appliances.

We were both very impressed with how well it lifts the carpet.  I was shocked at how much dirt and pet hair the Dyson was pulling from our carpet.  We thought our older vacuum was at least picking up what it was supposed to.

The only problem now is that we argue who is going to vacuum.  And, my husband has banned anyone else living in the house besides the two of us from using it. Although the price seems pretty steep for a vacuum cleaner, I feel that we have made a quality purchase. One that will last us for several years to come.

HUMAN TESTED ANIMAL APPROVED!

There are many kinds of vacuum cleaner offered in stores. You have to choose which one is the best vacuum for pet hair. You have to know exactly how the vacuum cleaner works to solve your pet hair problem<a href =" http://bestvacuumforpethairreviews.net/ /"> best vacuum for pet hair . The fact is that you can only know which the best vacuum for pet hair by trying them. You can also read the specification of the vacuum cleaner and decide whether it is the best vacuum for pet hair or not. But if you are on a budget then there are many decent pet hair vacuums in the cheapest range. And about the quality, and it still works as good as new.
