It really was just that simple.  When I first opened the box and pulled out the plastic snake, I really wasn't sure as to how good of a job it would do.  On the first try it pulled out a huge amount of hair and gunk.  The second use pulled out even more.  After using the Snake I poured the Drano down the drain as instructed and after 30 minutes our tub was back to draining quickly and quietly,  At $6.99 this is a great bargain considering all the damage I could have done to our drains using the other methods.
