Fall is finally here. I love the smell of the cold morning air and the leaves that have fallen to the ground. When I think of fall I think of hot apple cider and caramel apples. Marzetti Caramel Dip fits in perfectly this time of year. Not just for dipping apples (even though they are delicious!), we use it to top our peanut butter sandwiches for an extra delightful sweet taste. Top it with sliced bananas and this tasty sweet treat just gets even better.

Sometimes I drop a teaspoon or more into my coffee and stir until dissolved. The rich caramel flavor is a wonderful addition to a cold crisp morning.

I love caramel apples and remember growing up when we would go out for Halloween, several houses would give them out as treats. Although I still love the taste of caramel apples, my teeth are not as happy when I try to bite into one. Marzetti Apple Dip lets me enjoy and remember my love for caramel apples without a huge dental bill.

Marzetti Ingredients

1 16 oz container

Marzetti® Old Fashioned Caramel Dip

Other Ingredients

30-40 Large marshmallows

8 inch lollipop sticks (can be purchased from craft stores)

Chopped nuts, sprinkles, jimmies, mini chocolate chips

Ribbon for decorating sticks

Preparation:

Thread one marshmallow onto each lollipop stick and set aside. Place the Marzetti Caramel Apple Dip in a microwave safe container. Microwave on medium high for 25 seconds and stir. Dip each marshmallow into warm Marzetti Caramel Apple Dip and sprinkle with favorite chopped nuts or candy bits. Serve.
