It seems the older my husband and I get, the more germophobic we become. Ever watch the Monster Within me on the Discovery Channel? Ever watch the news specials on how much germs are on your money, or what really is on those grocery cart handles? I wish I hadn't watched them, but I have. Yuck!! I am very grateful that most department stores and grocery stores have disinfecting wipes to clean the carts and baskets with. But is this enough?
My husband and my 16 year old keep a small bottle of hand sanitizer in their backpacks and I keep one in my purse and on my desk at work. We use them constantly! The problem with using some of these hand sanitizers is the alcohol in them. Our hands usually end up dried and cracked from so much use.
I was recently provided the opportunity to try PreFense Alcohol Free Sanitizer. Yes you read it correctly Alcohol free! Of course I am thinking what you probably are thinking. How can it kill germs if there is no alcohol? Prefense is made of all-natural organic ingredients such as Amosilq Silica Complex, water, cocamidopropyl betaine, and essential oil fragrance. Read more of the Materials and Methods Case Study on how Prefense works.
Of course you are still going to wash your hands throughout the day, and in most cases in between hand washings you will slather on some more hand sanitizer. Prefense stays on your hands for up to 24 hours or 10 hand washings. If you wash your hands more then 10 times a day, it is recommended to apply at least twice a day. And, bNow that is protection and frugal!
What kind of germs does prefense protect from? Those nasty little organisms like Staphylococcus and Streptococcus, germs such as Salmonella, viruses, mold spores, fungi and much more. To read a complete list you can go to the FAQ page of the Prefense website.
Of course I am not an expert, but I will do what it takes to protect my family especially from some of the new viruses that seem to be taking over and are resistant to most vaccines. Prefense along with our current routine hand washing has become one of our defenses against getting sick
Prefense is a foam, so you don't have to worry about it running off yours or your childrens hand before they can rub it in. Prefense isMy hands are nice and soft after using it, so I do not feel the need to immediately apply lotion.
I don't know about yours, but when my kids were small their hands were constantly on their face, rubbing their eyes or had their fingers in their mouth. Prefense is non-toxic and safe of the kiddos even if swallowed. That takes a load off of the mind knowing it can safely be kept out on the counter top for easy access.
Prefense can be purchased on line at Amazon.com or use the store locator to find a dealer close to you starting at $8.50 for the 1.5 oz.
