Meyer Lemon Tree Review and Giveaway

When life hands you lemons - literally!  I cannot count the times that I have been in the kitchen and opened the refrigerator to find that much needed lemon is not there.  But since receiving my Meyer Lemon Tree from Fast Growing Trees, I can have lemons whenever I need them.

I was watching our local news one morning and they were showing fruit trees that you can grow in your own home or on your patio that actually yields fruit.  I was very interested in finding one of these trees.  I found a couple of nurseries around us, but the prices were really high. So I was very excited when Fast Growing Trees selected me to do a review for the Meyer Lemon Tree.

Fast Growing Trees was formed in 2003 by supplying high tech, cloned timber trees that could be harvested in half the time. They provide many varieties of trees and shrubs such as Flowering Trees that bloom brighter and longer Evergreen Trees that bring you quick privacy Fruit Trees and bushes that can be grown without pesticides Shade Trees that quickly lower your power bills and enhance your home.

My Meyer Lemon Tree arrived within three days packaged very professionally and the tree was in great shape.  The leaves were a very deep green and there were a few buds already.  I immediately went out to get some soil and a pot to transplant my lemon tree.  I was very worried that the tree would go through shock after replanting it, but it has done beautifully so far.

Over the past couple of weeks it has numerous blooms that fill the air with a wonderful fragrance.  New stems have grown, and some of the blooms are now turning into small lemons.

These trees do great indoors, but will flourish even more outdoors.  If you wish to keep it indoors, it is recommended that on days that temperatures are not below freezing to move the tree outdoors for a while.  For now while we wait for the Arkansas cold weather to pass it sits in my dining room in front of the windows where it gets sunlight all day long.

Meyer Lemons are naturally sweeter than standard lemons. The Meyer lemons make healthy, nutritious lemonade with just lemons and water… no processed sugar or artificial sweeteners are needed.

I am very impressed with this tree so far and can hardly wait for the lemons to mature and ripen.

You can purchase your own Meyer Lemon Tree at FastGrowingTrees.com $58.95 for a 2' t0 3' tree.

Spring is coming up and Fast Growing Trees is offering one of Victoria's Voice readers a chance to win one of the Meyer Lemon Trees.  All you have to do is fill out the Rafflecopter form below.   Giveaway ends 3/12/2012.
