Awoke each day
Faced challenges and fears
Laughed with friends
Shed some tears
Heard the call
Answered proudly without hesitation
Into unknown lands
Embraced adversity
Without procrastination
They become one with their brothers;
They were daughters,mothers,
Fathers and sons
Bonded for tomorrows
For those that are to come
All faiths and colors
Diverse as night and day
Yet united in honor;
Preserving freedom's way
Bonded in battle
United in a cause
Ordinary people;
Woven with strength
Threaded with flaws
Forever in their debt
Not such ordinary souls
For they have paid dearly
The ultimate price
The sound of freedom's toll
On this special day of remembrance....Thank You to all who have served. To the family of those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom, our hearts and prayers go out to you.
