These are difficult days in our world's history. 1.75 billion people are desperately poor, natural disasters are gouging entire nations, and economic uncertainty still reigns across the globe. But you and I have been given an opportunity to make a big difference. What if we did? What if we rocked the world with hope? Infiltrated all corners with God's love and life? We are created by a great God to do great works. He invites us to outlive our lives, not just in heaven, but here on earth. Let's live our lives in such a way that the world will be glad we did.
In his new book, Outlive Your Life, best-selling author Max Lucado reminds us that God has always used normal, everyday people to change the world. The disciples were ordinary people, working regular jobs, living normal lives. But they answered the call to follow Jesus and ultimately changed the world. God is still looking for regular folks-soccer moms, blue-collar workers, students-anyone who is willing to answer God's call to make an extraordinary difference. Read more on the interview with Max Lucado.
My Thoughts: In Outlive Your Life Max Lucado challenges us to step outside the box. He shows that everyone can do something no matter how small to make a difference in the world. What may seem meaningless could mean life or death to another. This was a hard book to put down. In my opinion this a must read for everyone.
To purchase this book: You can purchase this book at Amazon.com for $11.99. Today started off a little slow. On my way to work, I listened to one of my favorite gospel songs to lift my spirits. Once I got to work, feeling a little more inspired, I decided to visit your blog for your Monday Motivation. Guess what? On your page I found a link to Inspirational Quotes. I read the poem, "Drinking From My Saucer." That did it! I pray the Lord continue to bless each and everyone of your readers. May peace and serenity rest forever in our hearts.
